“We just finished a major renovation to our kitchen with Normandy and worked with architect Troy Pavelka, and Superintendent Rick Ruh. We have a 1923 Dutch Colonial and have been restoring it to its original charm and character. Troy designed a beautiful kitchen that is perfect for the vintage of our home. The design offers all of the modern conveniences and luxury of a new kitchen, with the charm and character of an older home. Troy, Rick and everyone on their crew are truly exceptional. Our experience exceeded our expectations. Having renovated many homes as well as having built several custom homes in the past, exceeding our expectations is a pretty tall order. Troy, Rick and many members of their team are like family now. They are genuine, trustworthy and conscientious people who treat your home like it’s theirs. When we selected Normandy for our kitchen, it was after having worked with them 3 years ago on a new deck and pergola. And when we build a new front porch next year, we will select Normandy again. We cannot speak highly enough about working with Normandy Remodeling. If you want a full service firm who offers exceptional design and craftsmanship, while offering tremendous peace of mind during what can be a stressful process, Normandy is the best choice. “We walked into Normandy’s Showroom in Hinsdale not knowing ANYTHING about remodeling. So we asked to speak with someone about completely gutting and re-designing our kitchen. We DEFINITELY had the luck of the Irish that day because we randomly got Gary Cerek. We immediately hit it off with Gary as he patiently explained the design process. Once we decided to go with Normandy, Gary walked us through every step of the way. His experience shone through, his guidance was always right on and the millions upon millions of little details that would otherwise completely overwhelm you were presented in a logical, orderly fashion so that we felt very protected and were led through every decision, milestone and design element by Gary and his design assistant, Ashley Stone. They helped with design, color, texture, lighting, cabinetry, plumbing fixtures and appliance selection. The best though was walking through a canyon of granite and natural stone selections. It would’ve been overwhelming without their eye for color and their logical approach. I cannot imagine doing this project without a Gary or an Ashley from Normandy to help. I cannot recommend them highly enough. We are completely delighted with the results and would recommend Normandy to anyone contemplating a remodeling job, no matter how big or small.”

“We recently completed a kitchen and master bathroom remodeling project with Normandy Remodeling and are absolutely thrilled with the results! The number one key to the success of our project was our designer, Kathryn O”Donovan. Kathryn quickly impressed us with her vast knowledge and her communication skills. She developed a very creative design plan with our input. A major change for our home design was the removal of an interior wall separating the kitchen and dining room. The resulting space is beautiful and the design is so well thought out. Kathryn expertly guided us through what could have been a rather intimidating process with her amazing attention to details and product knowledge. We applaud Kathryn’s excellent design skills, creativity, and how pleasant it was to work with her. And, once we had a masterful design, Normandy executed the project flawlessly. Yes, there were a couple surprises along the way, but they were addressed very professionally and resolved with minimal impact. After our project was completed, we have engaged Normandy on a couple occasions for follow-up items that came up and they have been extremely responsive. Design excellence, great execution and exemplary follow-up sum up our experience with Normandy and we highly recommend them.”

“Leslie Lee designed a new kitchen for us, including new windows and new floors. She had good ideas for our space. She listened to our needs and came up with a plan. She helped with picking all the finishes, appliances and cabinets. She has an excellent knowledge of the whole building process and was able to answer all of our questions. Pete Juska helped make the building process very straightforward. We had specific needs for the construction project. He was able to do his work around us. He kept us apprised of work schedules and work being done. Communication with Pete and Leslie was excellent. We love our new kitchen. It is organized and well-thought out. We have Leslie designing an addition for us. We highly recommend Leslie and Pete.”

Bathroom Remodeling – Mike K.

“We had a great experience in working with Normandy. Our designer, Amanda Heyland, was not only talented, but also had the ability to listen. She spent time talking to my wife and I to learn about our likes and dislikes when it came to everything from faucets to sinks to lighting to countertops. We asked her to give us no more than 2 or 3 choices that she thought would work for us and she delivered. Our superintendent, Mike Laskowski, was an incredibly organized person. He was on the job site almost daily. He sent us a summary of work completed and work scheduled for the next day or two every evening. It was obvious that he worked hard behind the scenes to schedule people in different trades to keep our project moving. Amanda and Mike are professionals who happen to be good people. I also have to mention that the subcontractors employed by Normandy worked hard, were professional, and like Mike and Amanda, were really decent people. I highly recommend Normandy.”

“We are extremely pleased with the remodeling project. The entire staff were very helpful. Jennifer Runner was our design consultant and she was great! She understood our tastes and was able to assist us in our choices of cabinets, tiles, etc. She also helped us with suggestions for the painting and wallpaper we were deciding upon. We especially liked the fact the their showroom had samples of all the items needed for remodeling. Most importantly, Normandy has followed up on any minor problems we have had. They have sent someone the next day for the repairs. We would highly recommend Normandy.”

“I initially met Vince Weber on a tour of Kitchens in Winnetka and admired his handiwork. I took his card and called him to come look at our kitchen. We had a pretty clear idea of what we wanted to do but he was so easy to work with and really helped us to refine our vision. We decided to use Normandy to remodel our kitchen. The remodel involved taking everything down to the studs and taking out part of a wall. Before demolition started, Vince gave us a schedule of what would be done each week and when our payments were due and Normandy stuck to that schedule. There were no surprises or extra fees. There were people here working every day. I never had to call and say, “what about this”….they really thought of everything. Al Lovas was our GC and was always available for questions and always got right back to me when I called or texted.

We were thrilled with the way our kitchen turned out! So thrilled in fact that we used Normandy again to take off our old front porch and replace it with a half open-porch and half mudroom configuration. We constantly have neighbors stop by to comment on how much better the house looks and how they love what we have done.

I cannot recommend Vince and Al and all the Normandy guys highly enough. I have referred several friends to them and everyone has had the same experience. I hope you give them a try because using Normandy was the best decision we ever made.

“We are extremely pleased with our bath remodel and we are particularly indebted to our designer, Ann Stockard, who graciously guided us through the project. She listened to our needs/desires, offered and discussed a variety of options as we reviewed multiple iterations of the plans, and checked with engineers to ensure the accuracy of our design. Throughout the project, she was patient and delightful to work with. We very quickly respected her qualifications, felt confident in her advice, and as a result we ended up with a very beautiful and functional master bath. Thank you, Ann. You’re the best!!!”
